Family Loved Golden Retrievers is located in Yuba City, CA. We breed from healthy, well-tempered parents and begin early neurological stimulation and scent introduction at just three days old, followed by a thoughtfully structured developmental and socialization program designed to build confidence, adaptability, and emotional resilience. Puppies are safely socialized then temperament tested by trainers at 7 weeks of age to match them with the perfect family, therapy, or service role.
As a small, home based breeder, we raise 3-4 litters per year in our living room. Puppies are de-wormed every 2 weeks routinely. Vaccines are on the routine puppy schedule around 8 weeks for the first and every 21-28 days after to age 16 weeks. Microchip is also included, Nails are trimmed weekly at least. Puppy is vet checked between 6-8 weeks of age to ensure they are healthy for their new homes.
ENS/ESI is done from days 3–16 with daily handling of paws, ears, tail, lips, and eyes. We then use variations of the puppy culture routine and other proven methods to continue our work with the puppies. Puppies explore the house with everyday noises, ride in cars, stroller outings, and more to prepare for life. You will be asked to complete a questionaire after placing your deposit to help us match you to the best puppy for you. Around 7 weeks, a certified trainer performs temperament testing using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test as well as my experience with the individual puppies to help match each puppy to the best home (based on your questionaire results and gender preference) or for service or therapy work.
