HOW TO RESERVE YOUR GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY

Puppy Selection & Pricing
Puppies will be available for selection in the order that $500 non-refundable deposits are received. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of $3,000- $3500. The remaining balance is due in cash at pick-up.

Please note: prices may change for future litters, but once your deposit is placed, your price is locked in.

*All puppies are sold with limited AKC registration.

Ownership Approval
I reserve the right to refuse placement of a puppy if I feel it is not the right match. Approval is required before a deposit may be placed.

1. Are you a homeowner? If not has your landlord agreed in writing to allow a large breed dog? *

2. Do you have children? *

If you answered yes, what are the ages of your children? Have they been around puppies or dogs? Do they exhibit any fear around dogs and if so what is your plan? *

3. How many hours at a time will puppy be left at home alone at one time? What is your plan for puppy during that time? *

4. What are the negative and positives you expect in raising a puppy, do you realize a puppy is the amount of work of a toddler for about 2 years? *

5. Most dogs that are rehomed between 9–12 months of age are surrendered due to behavior issues caused by a lack of proper training and socialization. Early and consistent training is essential to your puppy’s long-term success. Have you enrolled in, or do you plan to take, puppy training classes? Have you been reading reputable training books or watching professional puppy training videos? If at-home training does not meet your puppy’s needs, are you willing and financially prepared to invest $3000 or more in professional training to ensure your puppy becomes a well-behaved, confident, and happy member of your family? *

11. If your pet has a medical emergency, which could be thousands of dollars, will you have the availability to pay for it? A common emergency in Goldens is an intestinal block from eating a toy or a sock and the least I have heard for the cost is $5,000 but typically its almost double that! Insurance helps if that is your plan however most require you pay upfront and be reimbursed by them later. *

12. Does anyone in your family have allergies to animals, particularly dogs? How severe? *
