HOW TO RESERVE YOUR GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY
Puppy Selection & Pricing
At Family Loved Golden Retrievers, our goal is to place every puppy in the home where they will thrive. Puppy placement is based on temperament, lifestyle compatibility, and your questionnaire responses, along with gender preference when possible.
Each puppy undergoes temperament evaluation to help identify the best match for your household. Because of this process, puppies are not selected solely based on color or appearance, but on the overall fit between the puppy and the family.
If more than one puppy is an appropriate match for your home, you will be invited to choose between two suitable puppies on pickup day. Selection order is determined by the order in which deposits are received.
Final puppy selection takes place on go-home day, typically at 8–10 weeks of age. This allows us to observe each puppy’s developing personality and ensure the best possible match.
If a puppy is held beyond when the other puppies leave our home because the buyer chooses to cancel, documented care expenses incurred during the extended stay may be deducted from the deposit, with any remaining balance refunded in accordance with California law.
The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of $4000.-4500. The remaining balance is due in cash at pick-up unless prior arrangements have been made.
Please note: prices may change for future litters, but once your deposit is placed, your price is locked in.
*All puppies are sold with limited AKC registration which means breeding is not an option for my puppies.
Our highest priority is ensuring that every puppy is matched with the family and lifestyle where they are most likely to thrive. While we carefully consider each family’s preferences, Family Loved Golden Retrievers reserves the right to make the final placement decision when necessary to ensure the best long-term match for both the puppy and the family.
We also reserve the right to decline an application, refuse a sale, or refund a reservation fee or deposit at any time if we determine that placement is not in the best interest of the puppy or our breeding program. In such cases, any refund will be made in accordance with the terms of our reservation agreement and applicable California law.
