Guardian Program
A Guardian Home is a special family who agrees to raise and love one of our future breeding dogs. This program allows us to keep our breeding dogs in wonderful forever homes where they are cherished family members, while still being part of our responsible breeding program.

⚠️ Things to Consider
The Guardian Program isn’t for everyone. For female Guardians, it can be difficult to be without your Golden for about 8 weeks once a year while she raises her litter. For male Guardians, there may be short-notice requests when he is needed for stud service. There will also be appointments made around the age of 2 with specialty vets for health clearances that you will be required to take your puppy to.
This program requires flexibility and understanding—but the reward is being able to raise one of our very best Goldens in your home and heart.

✨ How It Works
- As a Guardian, you raise and care for one of our pick-of-the-litter puppies in your home.
- We retain breeding rights once the dog reaches maturity.
- When it’s time to breed, the dog will return to us for a short stay:
- Females come back briefly for breeding, and again about one week before their due date until their puppies are ready to go home (around 8 weeks of age).
- Males may be needed for a few days at a time, often with shorter notice.
💛 Responsibilities
- You: Provide all the typical costs and care of raising a Golden Retriever (food, vet care, grooming, love, and training).
- We: Cover all breeding-related expenses (health testing, stud fees, medical care related to breeding, and anything breeder-required).
